Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Plans

These are stand-alone plans that you can add onto your Medicare Supplement Plans.  

They often use a network of dentists/vision clinics/pharmacies similar to Medicare Advantage plans.  If you have a dentist, optometrist, or pharmacy that you like, it is important to make sure that they accept the plan you are choosing. 

 

Just like with Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plans (MAPD), these stand alone Prescription Drug plans (PDP) have specific medications that are included and excluded (called "formularies").  These formularies can change so it is important to make sure your medications are covered every year.
